Although the G-Wagen was completely redesigned for the first time in decades, its iconic design has been expertly preserved and carefully evolved. The G63 still has the incredible off-road capability and trail-ready equipment found on the Mercedes-Benz G550, but it also has a more powerful twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 that makes 577 horsepower and 850Nm of torque. A nine-speed automatic gearbox with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters sends all that power to the all-wheel-drive system that prioritizes rear traction for better handling and acceleration. This incredible SUV glides from 0 to 100 in just 3.9 seconds. Along with that extra power, the G63 receives AMG-specific treatments such as suspension and transmission tuning. The changes that Mercedes has made to the Benz-branded G-Class are additionally enhanced on this new AMG model, which wears a distinctly different grille and flared fenders as well as side-exit exhaust pipes.
